I'll admit that I had to be dragged kicking and screaming to join, but it was totally worth it:) Seriously, though, I have learned an incredible amount. I've finally been able to put the "pieces" together in terms of what works for marketing and I've finally branched out into studio work (still learning that as it is an ongoing process). I'm becoming more confident to experiment with lighting.

I am also grateful that people are willing to share their time and knowledge. Rob and James have fostered an open learning environment and consequently, it's made lurkers like me become more proactive than ever in participating on the forums. Nothing is sugarcoated. Critiques are honest and respectful.

Lastly, another great thing for someone like me who has to move every 3 to 5 years, is that I have this wonderful constant in my life apart from my family. It's NoBS. I can't wait each day to see what the latest posts will be. I can't wait to see what I'll learn next. It is my refuge from the insanity of life and it will hopefully always be a safehaven for me to continue to learn and hone my craft.

Thanks for opening my eyes to the "big picture" of professional photography.

Aloha,

Gabi

Well I have been around the NOBS form for a few years now. I met Rob & James at one of my first digital workshops put on by my lab up in Toronto. I was once a member of the Professional Photographers of Buffalo Niagara and had them do a workshop in the Buffalo area and it was one of the better attended one day workshops they had ever have, and from what I heard from the people who attended they also loved it.

The three of us have shared with my wife Jacqueline a workshop on the island of St Lucia where I really got to know the two of them. I must admit I did learn quite a bit more about digital and they changed my outlook in photography.

When I get up in the morning one of the first things I do is check out the NOBS form. I love to share with others what I have learned in my many years in photography. The form is a place that people will share with you, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. I still do after being in the business for over 25 years now.

The form sometimes takes us in new directions which I love. If you are looking for the best Photography form you need look no further.

The only thing I regret is I wish I would have started the NOBS form myself.

Thanks guys,

Charles Vandersluys Master Photog., Cr.,
