When you join NOBS, you learn so many things that help you in every aspect of your photography... From taking better photos of your kids to really streamlining your post-production techniques and business practices.

Just to give you an example, here are a few photos from when I started out... The baby photo is from 2000 and the wedding is from 2002. I joined NOBS in 2005.

I went from the photos you see shown here to all of the other examples you've seen in this thread SINCE I JOINED NOBS in 2005. Since then, I have also taught several photo workshops with attendees from all over North America and Central America. I have sold my software add ons for Photoshop and Lightroom to people all over the world in the past two years. And look at where *I* started out! Can you learn from an internet photography forum? YES!!!

thanks for sharing - even more than inspiring (and it is inspiring) seeing this post is comforting. I flick around looking at everyone's work and am blown away ... it is easy to walk away thinking "I'm kidding myself", seeing your post and some of the others where members have shared their before and after pics really helps.
