Capturing The First Rays Of Sun

Capturing the early red and purple haze of the rising sun has always fascinated photographers. At digital photography class, amateur photographers will get tips and advice of how to take professional pictures of the rising sun.

When it comes to take pictures of the rising sun all photography guides provide the same advise: the best pictures are produced when the sun is off center and on the lower third of the frame.

The first thing that amateur photographers learn when they enroll in a digital photography workshop is the importance of placing the picture off-center and to the lower third of the frame. Professional photographers say that this provides more interesting pictures. In fact, they say that the picture will be more interesting if the photographer includes a lot of the colorful sky and places the horizon in the lower third of the frame.

Students of digital photography class also learn the importance of the lighting. Sometimes, photographers may have to wait for a few hours and times even for a few days to get the right light for the picture.

Most digital photography class also place emphasis on having the right equipment and taking good care of it. Photographer need to take good care of their lens and ensure that it is free of smudges and other dust particles as these could cause considerable lens flare on the picture.

A lot of professional photographers prefer pictures that include some point of interest such as a clump of colorful flowers of a silhouette of a person or tree. They feel that this makes the picture more unique and interesting.
