Digital Photography And Lighting
Digital photography lighting does not represent a problem when you are taking photographs in good lighting conditions. But taking into consideration the fact that lighting conditions are not always ideal for photographs to be taken, you have to learn how to use the light you have in order to obtain good image quality results. An important aspect which has to be taken into consideration is being represented by the fact that the main source of light on your subject basically represents the main thing that you have to be concerned of when you are taking photographs on various lighting conditions. Try to see where the light source comes from, so that you can be able to determine whether good image quality of the photographs you are taking requires artificial light. Also, you will have to determine if the subject that you want to capture on the camera receives enough natural light, so that you can stabilize your tripod in the proper position in which you can obtain the greatest image quality.
Always remember that in order to get the clarity and detail in your image, you need to master digital photography lighting. While other occasions require different lighting, sometimes a flash is all you need in order to create the proper photography lighting. You are also advised to pay attention to the fact that flash might not represent the best choice in all situations. Try to prevent flash to interfere artistically or socially, in order to avoid ending up with a flat digital image. This is an often met situation on digital cameras with a built-in flash, as the flash only lights the subject from the front.
