Photoshop Actions For Fun

If you are not a specialist in Photoshop actions, you might find the following tips quite useful. There are a few of these Photoshop actions that might help you transform a photo from a regular to a wonderful one. The first one of these Photoshop actions is the soft focus, which involves duplicating the original layer, adjusting that duplicate and then merging it back down. This action works best with portraits and you can also vary the blending options in order to produce some interesting effects.

Another one of the Photoshop actions is drawing. The first steps in this action are similar to those in soft focusing, to which you add some pen and ink feel, as to create a reminiscence of some comics and graphic novels in any photo. The third of the Photoshop actions you might want to try is the "moody" action. The whole idea of this action is to create a more atmospheric look to the picture and at the same time increase its brightness. The first step here is to reduce saturation. After that, the picture already starts looking moodier and quite flat. The effect of desaturation is obtained by increasing the brightness and decreasing the contrast. In the end, the layer is duplicated and you apply the same actions as in "soft focus" all over again.

The results are incredible and the picture has a very elegant look. Lastly, another one of the Photoshop actins you might be interested in is the lomo. This action reproduces the kind of pictures you get from a Lomo camera and you can adjust the picture for different sizes. All these Photoshop actions do nothing but helping you play around and have fun. You might be surprised at the results you can get in quite a short time.
