Read a few comments from the forum.....:

Dawn Hunt writes....:
"Just a quick respond to confirm what everyone is already telling you.......THIS KICKS *SS! Thank you for a wonderful site all around. Yes to the Seniors category!!!"

We put out the call to see about starting a new category dedicated to senior photography.
Seems like a great idea so it's up and running.

Charles Vandersluys writes:

"Rob & James I was just on the new NOBS site and looking at some of the great images that have been posted. I am getting blowed away by some of the great photographers here on NoBs, from areas like Arizona, California, the UK and the rest of the world. As you know I have been in the business for some 20 plus years. I truly love the new site. I am here first thing when I wake, and just before I go to bed. I am totally blown aways..."

TRAVEL PLANS AND FREE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS FOR ALL INNER CIRCLE PHOTOGRAPHY FORUM MEMBERS
WHAT'S BREWING. Las Vegas anyone? Next April WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) will be having their huge 5 day photography conference in Las Vegas. The trade show alone is worth the price of admission. It's legendary!

BUT, here's a great reason to head out to Sin City in April:
We are planning, planning that is, not etched in stone yet, a full day photography seminar,
maybe two. Here's the good part.
It's a gonna be FREE for all NoBs INNER CIRCLE MEMBERS.
Call it a customer appreciation seminar. Or, because we love you.

P.P.S. Remember, this event is only an idea so far, but we are fully hoping to make it a reality. It would be great to hear from you if you think you would likely attend so we can get an idea of attendees. This will be open to No Bs Photo Success Inner Circle Members only.

Make your own SUPER RING FLASH and kick your photography up a notch!

Jeff M shows us how he created an amazing and simple ring flash. You gotta see this!. It's simply amazing:

The good part is, you can make it ANY
size you wish? Thanks Jeff for sharing this with
us.

The Print Critique Forum is a HUGE HIT. Seems like our members love the pain, ego bruising and suffering that goes along with having your work evaluated by a panel of judges. That is good, very good. Having your prints critiqued and reading critiques from others who dared will help your photography a lot! I've been there, took the blows, licked my wounds, and GOT RIGHT BACK UP ON THE HORSE. It helps.

Photo contest. Coming soon. This could be a logistical nightmare so we are working out any potential bugs. We do want GOOD PRIZES, that are guaranteed to wow! What's a contest without 'em?

What is a plank holder anyways? You may noticed some users have the term plankholder assigned to them. It's a term used for the first crew to take a new ship out to sea. So the plank holders are the ones that were here first testing the waters for everyone else, and basically "holding the blank" as you all walked aboard.

Here are a few images that members have added to our Inspirational Photo Gallery. Remember, when you add an image to one of the galleries, that image will automatically be added to your personal gallery.

I never promised you a rose garden
People who hate us

Yes, we're bold enough to print any hate mail we do get. Thankfully, we don't get that much. But Norris felt we deserved to be tarred with enough sarcasm to kill a water buffalo:

James, Oh my goodness, I have seen the light! I didn't realize that I had no
desire to further my photography and skill. I also didn't realize that
without you this is not possible.

BTW, please tell me what marketing strategy you use that is built around
insulting your potential clients? I want to sign up for that one as
well! Maybe if I beg enough you can show me how to do this to my
potential clients while you're furthering my photography and skill!
Please, oh please!!!!!

Sorry, but your marketing presentation is a HUGE turnoff. It's like the
online equivalent of the screaming infomercial. Remember receiving 3-5
page sales pitches in the mail that just go on and on and on and on and
on and on about how wonderful their product is? If your product is
worthwhile, you don't need to repeat yourself 50 different ways.

I'm happy that you are able to make a living from this. Maybe you should
sell subscriptions on eBay using "Alien Bees" in the item description.
Oh, sorry.. I forgot, you know it all and I'm nothing without your help.

Please remove me from your spam list.

Straight from the Heart!
"Well, best I can remember I joined this lil piece of heaven a year ago...WHERE DID THE TIME GO??? It might have offically been a few days ago, but I remember RUNNING to my computer after Thanksgiving to check the posts...while digesting my thanksgiving intake. Then there was the KC challanges, the best of the year in January, the easter PIG, the robin controversy...still miss that bugger sometimes!!...sometimes...hee hee, The macro thread, that really wasn't macro, the DMOs, the meeting my new nobs buddies Neil and Randy this summer, the planning for this new site, then the final launch that has exceeded even my own expectations.
I truly have learned soooo many wonderful things about photography, light management, marketing, and Photoshop. But mostly I have learned from South Africa to Austraila, Canada to California, England to New Zeland, Alabama to Georgia....there are some of the most inspiring, caring, thoughtful, kind, awesome folks here in the NOBS world site.
Where people are there to truly help you be successful at your career, fuel your passion, and pat you on the back while kicking you in the rump sometimes when you need it. Thanks you all very much from the bottom of my heart. I truly cannot imagine going more than 2 days without checking out and checkin on my friends here, I literally cannot wait to meet you all one day in person to give ya a hug round the neck and give you a heartfelt thank you.

Fondly, Lisa Marie
