Creating A New Background
The Extract Tool - FILTER/EXTRACT
This tool provides a sophisticated way to isolate a foreground object and erase its background on a layer. Even objects with wispy, intricate, or undefinable edges may be clipped from their backgrounds with a minimum of manual work. But we like manual work and hardly use this tool. We prefer the first 3, but we still wanted to show you this.
Using the ¡°edge
highlight tool¡±
define the area
around your subject.
You can use the
erasor tool to
remove a selection
or clean up your
lazy mistakes.
You don¡¯t have to color in the section, just
define the area around it, and whatever else you
wish to be selected.
