The background you used sucks! Can you change it?

YES WE CAN!

Creating A New Background

For this demonstration I used the magic wand to make my selection (I selected the background because it is a solid color and easier for the magic wand to select). THEN I inverted the selection SHIFT-CTRL-I or SELECT/INVERSE to select the subject I then applied a 2 pixel (this will vary depending on image size and resolution) feather SELECT/FEATHER. Next, press CTRL-J to put this selection on it’s own layer. (LAYER/NEW LAYER/LAYER VIA COPY)

Now you have 2 layers. The original (background) and the newly made selection (layer 1).

Now click and drag the background layer to the trash- can to delete it.

You are now left with a single layer which has your subject removed from the background.
