Creating A New Background
The Extract Tool - FILTER/EXTRACT
This tool provides a sophisticated way to isolate a foreground object and erase its background on a layer. Even objects with wispy, intricate, or undefinable edges may be clipped from their backgrounds with a minimum of manual work. But we like manual work and hardly use this tool. We prefer the first 3, but we still wanted to show you this.
Using the "edge highlight tool" define the area around your subject. You can use the
eraser tool to remove a selection or clean up your lazy mistakes. You don't have to color in the section, just define the area around it, and whatever else you wish to be selected.
